Tales From A Park Bench

My latest book is a short story, about 23 Kindle pages. It's based on conversations that take place between 2 people over a week as they sit on a bench. I wanted a picture of a park bench that looks inviting enough to sit down on for a while. I really like the image here because of the lovely blue sky - I can't see that as I look out of my window at the moment!

A Short Story About Modern Life
(Approx. 5,700 words)

Peggy Nutmeg is an elderly lady who spends a lot of time sitting on a park bench.
People with problems are drawn to her – or is it the other way round?

Book 1 – Sam’s Story
Sam is an angry 18 year old.
He just wants to live his own life and make his own mistakes. Why won’t his parents listen to him?
And what is that old biddy sitting next to him going on about? Can’t she just leave him alone?

Second Hand Ghosts

I've compiled my first three paranormal mysteries into one book. The price works out a bit cheaper this way too. I didn't know whether to put the three book covers together to make the new cover, but then I found this image on Vector-stock and really liked it :

You can buy it from Amazon Com here
and Amazon UK here.

Story Ideas - The Final Bet

I live in a town on the outskirts of Leeds, England. It is a friendly town and I'll often say hello to many people as I walk down the high street.
I noticed that there are many elderly couples in our town, and they quite often hold hands as they walk along. I've often wondered what their story is and how long they've been married.
When I wrote my first story in my Second Hand Ghosts series I decided to use such a couple. As it is a ghost story I had to make one of them deceased, the husband in this case.
The story hinges on two rings that are brought into a second hand shop by the widow. I found this lovely image of the rings that I could use in my story:

I was going to use these rings as an image for my book cover, but then I changed my mind and went for this cover instead :

Engagement and wedding rings are very personal and they carry a lot of history. In the case of my story, the rings also carry a ghost!

Getting Used To My New Site

Hello,

This is just a quick post as I'm still getting used to my new site. I have published 3 books under the paranormal mystery genre and I have just finished writing my first murder mystery.

I shall write another post soon!
